Chime/buzzer warning systems » General information
Chime warning system
The chime warning system provides an audible
warning to the driver under the following conditions:
² Driver side seat belt is not fastened (chimes will
sound after the ignition switch is turned to the On
position for the duration of the seat belt reminder
lamp illumination or until the driver side seat belt is
buckled, whichever occurs first)
- Engine coolant temperature is high
- Head or park lamps are turned on with the ignition
switch Off and the driver side front door open
- Key is in the ignition switch with the ignition
switch Off and the driver side front door open
- Low fuel warning lamp illumination - less than
about one-eighth tank of fuel remaining
- Overhead console trip computer is reset
- The optional Sentry Key Immobilizer System
(SKIS) is in the "customer programming" mode.
